Rice Crispy Treats
7.5 oz (212g) Rice Krispies
1 stick (4 oz) unsalted butter (with extra for pan)
10 oz marshmallows
1/4 tsp salt
Instructions:
Grease/butter 8x8 pan.
Brown butter in a pot. Melt butter over medium-low heat. It will melt, foam, turn clear and golden, and finally turn brown. There is a fine line between browning and burning, so keep a close eye on it and stir frequently.
As soon as the butter begins to take on a brown color, turn off the heat and stir in marshmallows - allow to melt in the residual heat.
Remove the pot from the stove and stir the salt and cereal together.
Spread into prepared pan and press into corners.
Cut into squares.
